Sugar came to us through Foster Pet Outreach; a woman needed to relinquish her two dogs, a mother and son, because she was receiving a service dog to help her with an illness and the service dog people required her to get rid of all other pets. So, we took Sugar and FPO took her son, Junior, who is a half-Kees, half-Red Dachshund.

Sugar was originally named "Keesha," but, as we had one Keesha already, as well as one who used to be named "Keesha," we decided to rename her. Her sweet personality inspired us with her name.
