Dracula Tour 2001
Jon and Eileen Westcot's Photos

In early September, 2001, I learned that, by some miracle, I had actually WON two seats on the Dracula Tour 2001 trip. This prize, the "Ultimate Grand Prize," came courtesy of Mike Roden at horrorfind.com, where I had entered a free monthly raffle. For someone such as myself, a life-long horror movie fan, getting the chance to actually see places where the real Vlad Tepes lived, walked, ruled, and died was a dream come true. However, for someone such as my wife, who is not a horror movie fan, the initial degree of enthusiasm was slightly lower. Still, she was interested in the trip, but more from the historical perspective rather than the vampiric.

We took LOTS of photos, both still and moving, and we've posted many of them here. To let the pages load as quickly as possible, though, we've broken things down into areas of interest, as described below. Each section will point to a different page of photos, and each page will initially show small thumbnail version of the photos. Just click on a photo to enlarge it.

Also, I've taken the liberty of posting a copy of the Dracula Tour 2001 Report here for your perusal. There are two versions posted; one in Word97 format and one in Plain Text format.

We'd love to know what you think of the photos, of the report, or anything else you'd like to comment on regarding the tour. Just click here to drop us an e-mail note.
